When we founded ARTRA Artists Management, Inc. in 1984, we wanted to offer artists in the Classical music field the type of management services they deserved. We promised to return phone calls immediately and send out contracts within 24 hours. We even boldly offered to GUARANTEE the talents of our artists. As we enter the 21st Century, we are still the only management company willing to return our commission if any of our artists receives a bad review. Yes, we have returned one commission. It happened a few years back when a vocal group changed their personnel without telling us. The presenter felt that he hadnt received the talents he had contracted for. We felt the same way and refunded our commission. Since then, this presenter has featured ARTRA artists every season on their concert series. Honesty, dedication and commitment to perfection is what youll get when working with us.
ARTRA Artists Management, Inc. is well known in the music industry for the personalized service they give to their artists and presenters. This is because partners Robert Bauchens (tubist in Lyric Opera of Chicago) and Terryl Jares (violinist-violist of Chicagos theatre orchestras) are still active professional musicians. They talk to soloists and managers daily and listen to what they have to say. They hear artists express the need for more performance opportunities, fair wages, and logical routings. They learn of presenter's frustration in obtaining materials, contracts, or even returned phone calls. They understand. After all, they share many of these same problems in their performing careers. With more energy than a Midwestern Tornado, they succeed in giving their colleagues what they ask for: Individualized attention, performance details, and additional performances for artists; Returned phone calls, prompt delivery of press materials, and efficiently prepared contracts for presenters. In short, Bob and Terry give their artists and their clients good, old-fashioned service that is all too rare these days.
Bob and Terry will never stop performing and they will never give up their "down home" style of doing things just a little bit differently!
