The Music of Carole King & James Taylor

 

Two long time friends and collaborators, hit songwriter Kirsti Manna and traveling troubadour Jonathan Birchfield capture the essence of friendship through music with their dynamic performances.
With stylistic comparisons to Carole King and James Taylor, audiences enjoy Kirsti’s unique artistry on paino and vocals with Jonathan’s velvet toned vocals and guital\r.  The duo takes their audiences back with favorites like, “How Sweet It Is”, “Carolina in My Mind”, “I Feel the Earth Move”, and of course, the incomparable, “You’ve Got A Friend”.
Kirsti and Jonathan have shared the stage with such artists as Brooks and Dunn, Ray Charles, Jimmy Buffet, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. They have also appeared on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry.
 

KIRSTI MANNA
Kirsti Manna's six week Billboard #1 smash hit "Austin" introduced Blake Shelton (of NBC's "The Voice) to country radio. Besides being a Nashville-based songwriter, publisher, and producer, she's an actress with numerous credits that include creating and starring in her own national children's TV show, "Kirsti's Manor" viewed by 34 million homes.
She is also the co-writer/co-publisher for Big & Rich's rockin'hit, "Loud" (WB/Nashville). Artists such as Gretchen Wilson (Sony/Nashville), Colt Prather (Sony/Nashville), Cowboy Crush (Curb/Nashville) and many others have recorded Kirsti's songs.
Known as the go-to person for inspiration information empowering girls and women o find their creative voice, in 2008 Kirsti launched "Songwriter Girl" and "Songwriter Girl Camps".
Kirsti is a writer and publisher member of ASCAP, a voting member of the CMA and NARAS (The Grammys) and also a pro member of NSAI and Nashville Publisher Network. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Youngstown State University and has received two RIAA Certified Gold awards, the ASCAP #1 and NSAI #1 Awards.

 

JONATHAN BIRCHFIELD
He's back roads, he's a gentleman born to the wrong generation; he's an All American traveling troubadour and songwriter. Meet Jonathan Birchfield. JB, as his friends call him, is a guitarist, professional entertainer and songwriter from the foothills of North Carolina. JB has had music running through his veins since he can remember.
For more than 25 years, JB has toured throughout the Southeast as a solo performer and also fronting his band. He also continues to perform at Jimmy Buffett's famous Margaritaville in Key West, Florida. He has shared the stage with Brooks and Dunn, Edwin McCain, Mac McAnally and Allison Krauss, to name a few.
His catalog with his own publishing company, Country Heights Music, has had many song placements, on the Golf Channel, ABC Sports and on NASCAR related TV shows. He is also an audio engineer specialist for BSI (Broadcast Sports Inc.) As part of a specialized audio team for major sporting events, JB has visited Sochi, Russia for the 2014 Winter Olympics and will be the chief audio engineer team leader at the Mount Everest base camp for the Discovery Channel's coverage of "Jobi's Winged Suit Jump".
